Dearest reader,
This is something I’m going to play around with. I see Letters as just a form of an update, just like, well you know letters original function.
I’ve finally got around creating the gallery section of this blog.
For this, I was going to do it by hand via the in-built shortcodes for this theme, but then I stumbled upon this Hugo Module, which made the process much easier and likely nicer looking. Dealing with moving images from my Nextcloud system to the required dirs of the module & theme were a pain at first, but now I figured I can just look at the images I want in the browser app, move them to a Hugo folder, and send them from my desktop to the host dirs for viewing.
During this, I thought about how I would make some sort of announcement for the gallery going live.
While doing this, I was watching Lea and thought maybe I should try my hand at digg-vloging. I hope to use my Rich Digital 2 (as you can see some photos of in the gallery) to take footage of my life though out the week and maybe just ramble on them, we’ll see.
I haven’t dropped the Machine Learning project
I actually been working on it full steam due to spring break and have so far gotten keypoints extracted from footage. I’m now planning to work on the model creation using these keypoints and maybe annotated data- I should really just go and pin that post and start using it as an journal again, but the use of Org & Org-babel makes it hard when they’re basically the research journal now.
I’d also thrown a GTX 1050 into my system after realizing I could use it for self-hosted LLMs and cuda python packages: for how old it is & having only 2GB-VRAM, it can handle low parameters (in billions) in LLMs pretty well.
I have no hot takes.
Not really any at the moment. Good things are within my mind.
