Letter #2

To reader,

I hope you’ve been doing well. I’ve finally finished with this semester and get to roam around the yard once again.

On Being Free

It’s always an odd feeling finishing a semester. You lock your life around it for so long that you forget what you did before. I remember before I was working on a vision model, but I had to drop it at the onset of April due to classes heating up; similarly, I was taking time to learn Elisp, but that too had to be put away due to classes. I find myself with new tools and some idea of how to purse both projects in a more organized & efficient manner, but also having a lack of necessity to do either of them.

Well, maybe not learning Elisp as it’s practical value is that I can actually extend and understand more about my Emacs; but the vision model? Besides skill what does that give me? A party favor?

Recently I’ve been having thoughts about the value of what I do.

Do I create such things to impress others? Or do I create so that I build skill and something to sell? Ironically, I think the risk of either endeavor is about the same anymore.

Expect more output very soon.

I’ve had some ideas for some posts during the final months of this semester that has been dwelling on my mind for as long as the semester. Things about mathematics, the field of AI, and workout related things.
